Coughton C of E Primary School has a number of talented ex pupils, one of whom Alex Woods. Alex is a multi award winning saxophonist, pianist, composer and arranger. He kindly came in to school to run some inspirational music workshops with the children. The last time he visited it was featured on BBC Midlands Today! The children had a wonderful time and learnt a lot about music composition.
Ofsted visited Coughton C of E Primary School in June this year. We were delighted that the school retained their Good Ofsted rating. Congratulations to the hardworking staff at the school. As the report says "Parents appreciate the hard work and dedication of staff. They say that the staff go ‘above and beyond’ to help the pupils." Four of our schools joined with others to honour the Queen's passing by contributing to a beautiful floral tribute. Pupils from St Nicholas, Coughton, Temple Grafton and Wootton Wawen schools created beautiful purple flowers out of paper and recycled materials These joined the creations from a number of schools and community groups. Collated and curated by the truly talented Escape Arts, the flowers are now for all to see in the windows of the old Debenhams store in Stratford upon Avon.
We express our deepest sympathies for the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her dedication and commitment to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth was an inspiration to us all and we thank her for her service.
We welcomed two schools into the MAT on 1st September; Harbury C of E Primary School and Tanworth-in-Arden C of E Primary School and Nursery.
